Receptionist

The Spa Hotel is a family run, 4 star hotel with 70 bedrooms and a beautiful Spa.

With 8 event spaces, a beautiful outside wedding temple and 14 acres of stunning grounds our hotel is always busy with a variety of guests.

The Role:

We are looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our busy reception team. You will be the first and last point of contact for all our guests so to be welcoming, approachable and well-presented is essential.

With 70 bedrooms occupied almost daily, efficient check ins and outs are a priority as well as being knowledgeable in all areas of the hotel and local area to assist with any guest queries. You will also manage the switchboard and assist with bedroom reservations.

You will work closely with all hotel departments and be responsible for payments and invoicing for all bedrooms. Working 5 days out of 7 on a rotational basis and the shift pattern does vary.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Welcoming guests with a friendly face at all times and checking them in and out of the hotel
  • Ensuring the smooth day to day running of the reception desk by following the sifts operating procedures
  • First point of contact for all guest enquiries via telephone, email and face to face.
  • Processing room reservations into the hotel system.
  • Activate and reissue room keys
  • Liaising with all departments including the management team
  • Handling customer feedback/complaints as required.
  • Creating invoices taking payments and updating the system
  • Delivering pre-arranged welcome plates to guest bedrooms

Knowledge and Experience

Previous experience on Reception or in the hotel industry is desirable but not essential.

You must be passionate about customer service and work well under pressure whilst paying close attention to detail.

Knowledge of Rezlynx, Microsoft office and Secure trading is preferable.

We are looking for a team player, someone who is computer literate and have excellent communication skills.

Kitchen Assistant

Hours – Full time, including evenings and weekends. Shifts are 8am – 4.30pm or 2pm – 10.30pm.

Company Overview – The Spa Hotel is a family run, 4 star hotel with 70 bedrooms and a beautiful Spa. With 8 event spaces, a beautiful outside wedding temple and 14 acres of stunning grounds our hotel is always busy with a variety of guests.

The Role – You will be an integral part of a very fast paced Kitchen team, with a restaurant open 7 days a week and events taking place daily. You will need to have the highest level of cleanliness and keep you workstation well organised as you are responsible for all dishwashing throughout your shift and kitchen cleaning.

You are a crucial member of the team which allows the hotel to operate efficiently. You will also be interacting with all staff members of different levels and assisting our experienced kitchen team as necessary. This is a great introduction to working within a dedicated and skilled kitchen.

This Role may also include 2 out of the 5 Days assisting our housekeeping team as Linen Porter.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Loading and unloading the dishwasher and washing up
  • Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen storeroom areas and ensuring they remain tidy
  • General maintenance of operating equipment, such as dish washing machines and hand washing stations– reporting any issues
  • Assisting in some basic food preparation
  • Work with the kitchen team to provide an excellent service to our guests • Assisting with receiving deliveries storing food properly and rotation of stock
  • Inspect and correctly store all cleaned items rewashing if necessary
  • Clean and mop all kitchen floor areas as required
  • Follow company health and safety and food hygiene policies
  • Assisting as Linen Porter when required

Knowledge and Experience

Previous experience within this role is desirable but not essential. You must be reliable and energetic. We are looking for a team player, who can work quickly and has a good attention to detail.

Reservations Assistant (maternity cover)

The Role:

Hours –Part Time (24 hours per week) Shifts 9.00 – 17.30 Monday, Friday, Third day negotiable

PLEASE NOTE – This is a maternity cover with a Fixed-Term Contract

The Role – We are looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Reservations Assistant to join our busy Reservations Manager and Reception team. You will be the first point of contact for any telephone reservations so to be welcoming yet efficient is essential.

With 70 bedrooms occupied almost daily, you will be speaking with a variety of guests and will be expected to be knowledgeable in all areas of the hotel and local area to assist with any guest queries. You will also cover Reception occasionally, so being well presented with fantastic customer service is crucial.

You will work closely with all hotel departments and be responsible for payments and confirmations for all bedroom bookings.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for booking Reservations into rezlynx, completing payments, and sending confirmations
  • To maximise all opportunities by ensuring a sales attitude and being aware of all regular’s requests and preferences.
  • Maintain the highest standards customer service and efficiency by taking calls and answering emails to meet our 24 hour response time
  • To ensure that all group reservation are correctly entered into Guestline
  • To develop telephone relationships with key group clients.
  • Assist with Reception if they have any bedroom booking queries.
  • To deal with sensitive and confidential data.
  • Liaise with Reception, SpaSpa, Events and the Restaurant regarding guest requests and build strong working relationships
  • Handling customer feedback/complaints as required.
  • Assist the Reservations Manager in day to day running of the department

Knowledge and Experience

Previous experience working in Reservations and/or in the hotel industry is desirable but not essential.
You must be passionate about customer service and work well dealing with a high volume tasks whilst paying close attention to detail. Having the ability to iron out any glitches that may arise. Knowledge of Rezlynx, Microsoft office and Secure trading is preferable.

Casual Beauty Therapist

The Spa Hotel is a family run, 4 star hotel with 70 bedrooms and a beautiful Spa.

With 8 event spaces, a beautiful outside wedding temple and 14 acres of stunning grounds our hotel is always busy with a variety of guests.

The Role:
You will be an integral part of our SpaSpa team responsible for managing and completing professional spa and beauty treatments and providing our guests and members with the highest standards in luxurious and relaxing spa experiences from our extensive menu of professional Espa, Aromatherapy Associates, Shellac, Guinot and signature treatments.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Achieving a number of different treatments during each shift, including massage, facials, manicures, pedicures and more
  • Communicating effectively with all guests and members that you come across
  • Having extensive knowledge on our products and treatment
  • Maintain a clean and tidy treatment space
  • Having product knowledge to assist with the upsell of Spa products
  • Cover reception and be able to assist with booking treatments when required

Knowledge and Experience

We require an NVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy or NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy Qualification (preferred) Or NVQ Level 3 Beauty Qualification Equivalent

Experience with any of our product offerings, ESPA, Shellac, Guinot (but not essential), intimate waxing (but not essential), lash lifting (not essential), pregnancy massage (but not essential). Experience within a Spa environment would be an advantage (but not essential). You must be a friendly and highly professional therapists with a genuine passion for offering exceptional treatments to all clients. You must be a team player and be able to work well under pressure whilst maintaining superb attention to detail. Experience within a busy or high performing salon environment is beneficial.
