Wedding and Events Coordinator
The Role
You will be an integral part of a very fast paced events department, coordinating numerous Weddings, Conferences and Events across 8 function spaces in a team of three people. Our events can vary from a meeting of two guests to a wedding of up to 300. This is a particularly varied role covering all levels of event coordination; you will be expected to coordinate your own events from enquiry through to event departure. This is an office based role however you will work closely with our operations team to ensure a smooth execution of each event.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrating good knowledge of the hotel, its spaces and event packages
- Receiving, handling and converting wedding, meeting, events and some group enquiries via telephone and email
- Planning events working closely with a variety of clients
- Carrying out show rounds and sales appointments
- Preparing in-depth quotes for Meetings and Events of all sizes
- Completing event administration to a high standard with excellent attention to detail
- Issuing detailed event sheets with clear and concise information which is easy for the operational staff to follow
- Typing and issuing invoices, taking payments securely for deposits and bills over the phone and updating our system accordingly
- Encouraging repeat business as a result of exemplary customer service and enquiry handling
- Identifying new clients and ways in which to increase revenue in the department
- Communicating effectively with all departments in the hotel
- Following up with all enquiries to increase booking conversions
- Assisting the operations team for big events and wedding
Knowledge and Experience
Previous experience in the hospitality and hotel industry within an events role is desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of Rezlynx, Microsoft office and Secure trading is preferable.
You must be able to work well under pressure with a strong attention to detail, meet deadlines and achieve targets, whilst offering the very highest level of customer service.
You must be determined and driven to ensure the business and department excels itself. We are looking for a team player, someone who is computer literate and have excellent communication skills.

Leisure Assistant
The Role
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and hands-on Leisure Assistant to join our Spa & Wellness Club at The Spa Hotel.
Our club welcomes hotel residents, spa guests and local members and offers a friendly, social environment alongside our gym, pool, spa and wellness facilities.
This is a varied, practical role combining excellent customer service and reception duties with the day-to-day cleaning, pool operation and maintenance of our leisure facilities.
Working 5 days out of 7 on a rota, shifts will vary and include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming members and guests, providing excellent customer service.
- Running the reception desk, answering calls and taking bookings and membership enquiries.
- Opening and closing the club independently, working alone and completing all required opening and closing procedures.
- Assisting with routine pool and leisure maintenance following training and procedures.
- Carrying out regular cleaning of the pool, changing rooms, showers, gyms, saunas, steam rooms and other leisure areas.
- Keeping all guest and operational areas clean, safe and presentable.
- Carrying out routine health & safety checks and reporting faults or maintenance issues.
- Working safely with cleaning products and pool chemicals, following COSHH procedures and wearing required PPE.
- Supporting the wider Spa & Wellness team with the smooth running of the facilities.
- Personal training & gym class sessions where appropriately qualified.
About You
Previous experience in a leisure, gym, fitness, spa or hospitality environment is desirable. A Personal Training qualification would be an advantage.
Most importantly, you will be:
- Warm, friendly and confident with excellent communication skills.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working alone and taking responsibility for the club when opening and closing.
- Comfortable with computers and booking systems.
- Interested in fitness, wellness or beauty.
- Happy to get hands-on with cleaning, pool testing and routine maintenance.
- Able to work flexibly across a 7-day rota.
Please note: this is not solely a reception, customer service role or personal training role. Cleaning, pool testing and routine leisure maintenance are an important part of the position. Full training will be provided.
